Ai Mori d’Oriente Hotel

The name, Ai Mori d’Oriente, translates to “Moors of the Orient.” While now the Jewish Ghetto, this area was once inhabited by Venice’s Moorish trading partners. This family run, friendly hotel has a stylish Moorish décor. The location in a more residential area of Venice offers the chance to get away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist zones and a chance to enjoy more local restaurants. The location on a small canal still offers lovely water views from some rooms.

The Gritti Palace

The Gritti Palace is one of the top rated 5-star luxury hotels in Venice known for its excellent service. The location offers water views of the Grand Canal, the Santa Maria della Salute (considered one of Venice’s greatest churches), and of the Palazzo Venier dei Leoni the present-day home of the Peggy Guggenheim Museum.
