Roasted Asparagus with Garlic
This is possibly the simplest gourmet food you will ever make at home for such little effort.

  1. Pre-heat oven to 400 f (200c).
  2. Pre-heat oven to 400 f (200c). To trim the asparagus, Hold a piece at each end. Bend the asparagus until it snaps. Discard the thicker pieces and retain the halves with the tip. Finely chop- the garlic.
  3. On an oven-tray, spread out the asparagus tips. Drizzle with some olive oil;. Sprinkle the garlic over the asparagus season generously with salt and pepper.
  4. Place in the pre-heated oven. After 4 minutes, remove the oven tray and turn over the asparagus. Place back in the oven for a further 2 minutes. Remove from the oven. Place the asparagus in a serving bowl. Squeeze some lemon juice over the top, if desired.
